DESCRIPTION
CPD® PVC Waterstop is extruded from an elastomeric plastic compound consisting of virgin polyvinyl chloride and additional resins, plasticizers and stabilizers to meet or exceed the requirements of the Corps of Engineers Specification CRD-C-572-74. It is available in many different types and cross-sections, several of which have one split flange for use where the elimination of split form work is desired. No reclaimed or reprocessed material are used.
WHERE TO USE CPD® PVC Waterstop is used in concrete construction to prevent the passage of water through expansion joints or construction joints. It is used whenever water has to be kept out or kept in, whether above, at or below grade.
BENEFITS CPD® PVC Waterstop is chemically inert, contains no material leachable by water, and is highly resistant to acids and alkalis, to ozone and oxygen, and to waterborne chemicals. It is fungus resistant and meets MIL STD 810B Method 508. It will not fatigue on repeated flexure, and it retains its strength and elasticity through a temperature range from 0-70°C (32-158 ° F)

APPLICATION Preparatory Work : Inspect each roll to ensure no oil, dirt or contaminants are left on the waterstop which could impair contact with surrounding concrete prior to installation. Take care not to damage ribs. When installing the waterstop, it is important that the center line of the waterstop be located at the center of the joint. Care should be exercised when pouring concrete to ensure that the center bulb, in expansion joints, be left exposed. This allows for maximum movement capabilities of the embedded waterstop.
LIMITATIONS CPD® PVC Waterstop is not suitable for use where thermal exposure above 80°C (175°F) may occur or where unexpected pronounced movement may be anticipated. Caution must be exercised when installing waterstop below -20 ° C (-4 ° F).
STANDARDS Meets or exceeds the requirements and performance criteria of Corps of Engineers Specification CRD-C 572-74. MIL STD 810B Method 508. Approved for use on all MTO projects (Ministry of Transportation).
PACKAGING CPD® PVC Waterstop is supplied in 15 m (50 ft.) rolls unless otherwise specified.
STORAGE May be stored anywhere. Weather protection outside desirable but not necessary.
