DESCRIPTION CPD® Cold Weather Accelerator is a concentrated solution which accelerates the set of concrete or mortar to substantially increases early strength gains. WHERE TO USE • as a set accelerator for concrete and mortar
BENEFITS • the addition of this product will reduce the initial setting time by 40-60% and the final setting time proportionately • the time to finishing will also be substantially reduced • minimizes cold weather protection required for concrete and masonry placements.
APPLICATION/DOSAGE RATES Sand and aggregate should be free of ice and snow. This product is compatible with other admixtures, but each admixture should be added separately. *Note: Masonry cement is 50% by weight of Portland cement. Addition weights are based on Portland Cement content. This product should be added directly to the water used in the concrete or mortar mix. When added to a ready mix truck, mix for at least 3-5 minutes before discharging. Loads must be discharged within one hour. LIMITATIONS • cannot be used as an anti-freeze additive • does not prevent concrete from freezing, but accelerates set to minimize the possibility of freezing in cold weather • contains calcium chloride COVERAGE See dosage rates above.
