Author Topic: Basement leaking for Dummies  (Read 5025 times)
« on: January 15, 2006, 03:20:31 PM »

I have cracks on my floor and along the bottom of my wall where the wall meets the floor and they are all leaking on one side of the basement (opposite the sump pump).  Aside from paying a company a bunch of money to waterproof what can I do about this?

I am a basement dummy from FL that just bought a 30 year old house in Michigan and I'm about to pull my hair out.

Help.  My basment is wet.

Sounds like the weeping tile or other type of drainage system is failing. You can either dig and replace the exterior tile or install a new interior drainage system. See the website under Interior Drainage System for details.
